David Levray

David Levray studied at the Berklee affiliated American School of Modern Music with Steven Carbonara and was a session musician at Piccolo Studio in Paris, France, playing on a plethora of sessions, including Guesh Patti’s smash hit “Etienne,” before moving to the US. In addition to co-writing the Grammy-nominated song “Out Of The Cold” with Kirk Wahlum for the Bob James/K. Whalum album Joined at the Hip and touring around the globe with Les McCann’s Magic Band for 10 years, he has also performed, recorded or toured with Liz McComb, Kirk Whalum, Claude Nougaro, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eddy Louiss, Paco Sery, Steve Ferrone, Ben Sidran, Luther Allison, Nicole Croisille, Phil Upchurch, Kanda Bongo Man, Pierre Akendengue, Guy Konquet, Patrice Rushen, Salif Keita, Dereck Bordeaux, Don Randi and Quest, Oleta Adams, Ronnie Laws, Sergio Mendes, Michel Fugain, Rob Mullins, Jonathan Butler, Ron Brown, Greg Vail and many others.
