Matthew Koma

Friday, September 29

The Garage | 10am – 11am

Matthew Koma started his career as a singer/songwriter and became a sought-after co-writer & producer. He wrote the lyrics and melody to Zedd’s Grammy Award Winning top 10 hit “Clarity,” and has collaborated with stars ranging from Britney Spears to Tiesto to Shania Twain to Tinashe to Bruce Springsteen, as well as The Knocks, Steve Aoki, Alesso, Nicky Romero, Afrojack, RAC, Audien, LMFAO, Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff, and Hardwell.

Growing up in Long Island, NY on a diet of punk and rock & roll, Koma started writing music at age nine and signed a publishing deal at age 16. Signed by Jimmy Iovine to Interscope in 2011, he wrote a handful of songs that built some buzz before he scored his first big hit in 2012; Koma co-wrote the single “Calling (Lose My Mind),” which featured Ryan Tedder (One Republic) on vocals. This was his first of many ventures working alongside leading EDM artists. Koma continued with a steady string of EDM anthems, like 2012’s smash “Spectrum” with frequent collaborator Zedd, “Wasted” with Tiësto, etc. In 2016, he signed with RCA for the release of his solo debut, Eros Ludus featuring his pop songwriting atop electronic production from the likes of Louis the Child, Jai Wolf, and Flux Pavilion, etc.
