Bio

Hákon Júlíusson is an Icelandic, Reykjavík & Los Angeles based, composer, producer, drummer and formerly a member of the Icelandic alternative pop rock group Ourlives.The band toured England, Scotland and played multiple shows in their local scene in Iceland. The band was also nominated and won a few awards and could regularly be heard on local TV Dramas and commercial radio.Some of Hákon's recent work was composing music for the feature length documentary 'Mirgorod, searching for a sip of water' which won the best director award at the Global India International Film Festival. Other work include both liveengineering and studio productions for the Icelandic National Theater and music production for various projects and artists.Hákon is an honorary graduate of the composing for visual media program at the Los Angeles College of Music and former studio intern at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions in Santa Monica CA. He also holds a Diploma in Sound Engineering from the Reykjavík Technical College.
