Alfredo Rodriguez Masterclass

Alfredo Rodríguez is a Grammy Nominated pianist, artist and composer, hailing from Havana Cuba. Son of a professional singer and television presenter, Alfredo discovered his gift and passion for music at an early age. A child prodigy, he studied classical piano at the prestigious Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán and Instituto Superior de Arte while playing popular music in his fathers orchestra by night. He was discovered by his future mentor and producer, the legendary Quincy Jones while performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2006.  

As an artist and performer, Rodríguez has performed at the Playboy Jazz Festival, SXSWMusic Festival) and many other Jazz festivals all over the world. Rodríguez has shared stages with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Esperanza Spalding, Richard Bona, and Lionel Loueke. Rodríguez received his first Grammy nomination for best arrangement, instrumental for “Guantanamera” at the 57th Grammy Awards.
