Leo Nobre is a bass player, composer, arranger and producer living in Los Angeles, and is a native from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has received two Latin Grammy certifications and a Jazz Educator Award. He has toured extensively around the world and played the most prestigious Jazz festivals such as Montreaux, North Sea, Umbria, Java, Playboy, Copenhagen, Detroit, Cancun Jazz Festivals among others. He has recorded and performed for T.V. and movies and with many artists. His credits include Sergio Mendes, Dori Caymmi, Taj Mahal, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Jill Scott, Black Eye Peas, Shakira, Rio 1 and 2 (movie), Fast and Furious (movie) and others. His group Nobresil was awarded World Music Album of the Year by J.E.N. (Jazz Education Network), for it’s release Original.
