My educational background is in sociology, music, and journalism. Along with teaching sociology classes, I have worked as a reporter, editor, researcher, and translator throughout years. My research and interests include culture, education, immigration, social movements, and social psychology.
When teaching Music and Society or other sociology classes, I have two main goals: to introduce the basic concepts of the subject and to help students think critically. My aim is to enable students with skills and knowledge that can be useful in their further education and in their social/civic lives.
