Description of Quarterly Fee
The quarterly fee rate contributes to:
Student Services: LACM provides multiple student activities per term in order to provide the opportunity for students to connect with each other outside of the classroom. These include wellness workshops, open mic nights, club activities, presentations, game and movie nights, dances, DJ nights, and more.
Student Technology: LACM strives to provide the most updated and industry-standard software, hardware, studio spaces, and equipment to support the curriculum of each program at LACM.
Health: LACM has partnered with Carbon Health to provide low-to-no cost access to services at any of their Urgent and Primary Care clinics nationwide, including the clinic located in Pasadena. https://carbonhealth.com/
Experiential Learning: LACM offers a variety of extracurricular opportunities each quarter, including showcases featuring industry panelists, networking events, guest speakers and department-specific masterclasses, guest musicians and orchestra members for select recording sessions, and a range of resources designed to help students develop the professional skills needed for successful careers in the music industry.

General Education course books are not included in the LACM’s tuition price; therefore the student is responsible for purchasing their text books (i.e. Amazon, Half Price Books, etc).

**The STRF is a fund administered by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (Bureau) that relieves or mitigates economic loss suffered by a student while enrolled in a qualifying institution – generally, one that is approved or registered by the Bureau. At the time of his or her enrollment, the student must have been a California resident or enrolled in a California residency program, prepaid tuition, and suffered economic loss.
Effective April 1, 2022, the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) assessment rate will be two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per one thousand dollars ($1,000) of institutional charges.

LACM offers Merit Based Scholarships, Need-based grants & Federal Financial Aid for those that qualify.
LACM’s Office of Student Financial Services is here to assist all incoming and current students with their billing, invoicing, and student employment needs. Student Financial Services regularly works with other departments across campus to guide students through the enrollment and matriculation process.
